Peoria IL Haunted Houses

Peoria IL Haunted Houses are back for 2023!

Here’s a review of the three main Peoria IL Haunted Houses  plus many other Halloween events happening in the Peoria area in 2023.

Spook Hollow The longest running haunted attraction in Illinois is Spook Hollow.  For over 40 years, the Marquette Heights Men’s Club has run Spook Hollow, which features 3 “spooks” including the main one (Spook Hollow) plus M.C. Mansion and M.C. Nightmare.   Spook Hollow will be open every Friday and Saturday for the last 3 weekends in October (Oct. 13th & 14th, 20th & 21st and 27th & 28th) with tickets going on sale at the gate beginning at 6:30 pm through 11 pm every night.  Tickets are $30 or $45 for a “Speed Pass”.  Advance tickets for Spook Hollow 2023 are available at http://www.spook-hollow.com   100% of the proceeds from Spook Hollow are a fundraiser for the club and are donated back to Marquette Heights and surrounding communities.

Spider Hill at Three Sisters Park is back for 2023 in Chillicothe every Friday & Saturday in October.  It includes 2 “haunts”:  Massacre Mansion, Trail of Terror plus new for this year is their Enlightened Souls Paranormal Tours, a unique experience investigating a historical building at Three Sisters Park.  Gates open at 6 pm each night and ticket sales begin at 7 pm and run through 11 pm.  Each of the first 2 attractions are $23 each or a fast pass is $35.  Tickets for the Enlightened Souls Paranormal Tours are $45 and space is limited.   Advanced tickets are available at https://three-sisters-park.com

Aura Haunted House 2023And back again for its second year is Aura Haunted House in the historic Pollak Hospital Building in Bartonville which opens on September 29th and will be open every Friday & Saturday through October.  Hours are 7 – 11 pm each night.  There will also be three “black out” dates where you go through the indoor haunt in complete darkness with one glow stick per group on Halloween and November 4 & 5.

The Illinois Asylum for the Incurable Insane was originally operated by the State of Illinois from 1902 until 1973 and during that time, the Pollak Hospital saw hundred of patients pass away from tuberculosis. According to stories and eyewitness accounts, including paranormal investigations, some of the people who passed on, remained behind at the Pollak to walk the hallways.  Tickets are $30, $45 for a fast pass or $60 for an “Now Pass” which takes you to the front of the line (these are sold at the door only, not in advance) and are available at https://aurahauntedhouse.com
