Step through the wardrobe and into the magical land of Narnia in this enchanting stage adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s beloved classic. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, dramatized by Joseph Robinette, brings the timeless tale of courage, sacrifice, and friendship to life as the Pevensie children join Aslan the Great Lion to battle the White Witch and restore hope to a world trapped in eternal winter. The story follows Callie, a New York City radio traffic reporter, and Sara, a schoolteacher from the Midwest who moves to the city to teach third-grade students in the Bronx. Both women have boyfriends, but as their friendship deepens, they slowly discover they might be falling in love. Their tentative first kiss in public provokes a violent hate crime, changing their lives in ways they couldn’t have predicted. What begins as a connection between strangers becomes the center of a powerful, surprising journey.

The 2026 Gerald M. Brookhart Arts In Education Spring Celebration will be held in the Sun Plaza of the Peoria Riverfront Museum and in the Rear Plaza outside the Caterpillar Visitor's Center (or inside the facilities if the weather in inclement) from 11 am - 1 pm weekdays April 21 through May 14. Celebrating the talents of over 12,000 students from 136 schools from pre-K -12th grade from seven Central Illinois counties who will perform, exhibit and demonstrate their talents in the fine and applied arts.
