The Annual Lily Show will take place at Luthy Botanical Garden in Glen Oak Park from March 20 – April 12 from 10 am – 5 pm with the last entry at 4:30 pm each day. This year’s Lily Show fills the Conservatory with vibrant lilies, lush greenery, and playful nods to The Lorax – including whimsical truffula trees that bring the beloved story to life. The garden has free admission, however donations are appreciated.

Bunnies & Blossoms will take place at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie on Saturday, March 28 from Noon – 3 pm. Featuring face painting, balloon art, caricatures, animals from Wildlife Prairie Park, character appearances plus a scavenger hunt to win one of 12 baskets. The Easter Bunny will be on hand and each child will receive a goodie bag. Admission is free.
The Peoria Jaycees will host their Bunny Hop Easter Scavenger Hunt on the Peoria Riverfront (beginning at 817 SW Adams in Peoria) on Saturday, March 28 from 11 am – 2 pm. Follow the clues to hunt for eggs at various local businesses and landmarks along the Riverfront and Warehouse District. Each egg contains a treat and some may even contain a golden ticket that can be redeemed for a prize. Admission is free, however donations are always appreciated. Fond Du Lac Park District will host their 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Middle Shelter at Veterans Park (located at 403 Springfield Road in East Peoria) on March 28 beginning at 10 am. Freedom Paws Service Dogs Foundation will present a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast & Easter Egg Hunt at Shore Acres Clubhouse (located at 100 Park Blvd, Chillicothe) on Sunday, March 29 at 9 am. Wildlife Prairie Park will host several Easter events Friday through Sunday, April 3 – 5 from 9 am – 4:30 pm. An Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt will take place throughout the weekend with the winner receiving a private meet and greet with one of the animals. There will also be daily animal programs plus an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday for various age groups: the 10 am hunt is for ages up to 4, the will be for ages up to 4, the 10:10 am hunt will be for ages 5 – 8 and the 10:20 am hunt will be for ages 9 – 12. The park will open at 8 am with a special prize basket will be awarded to the child who finds the golden egg during each egg hunt. Get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny at the Train Depot. The Zephyr Train will open at 10 am and Grandma Nana’s and the Station Food Trucks will be on hand from 9 am – Noon. The hunt is free with park admission which is $17 for ages 13 and up, $15 for senior citizens aged 65 and up, $12 for ages 3 – 12 and free for ages 2 and under and Park members. Wildlife Prairie Park: Serving on Easter Sunday, April 5 with two seatings: one at 10 am and the 2nd at 12:30 pm. Cost is $50 for adults and $25 for kids aged 3 – 12 and free for ages 2 and under which includes tax, gratuity, park admission plus the Easter Egg Hunt.
