Elvis Has Left the Building will be presented at the Barn III Dinner Theatre (located at 1451 Timberline Rd. in Goodfield) with doors opening at 5:15 pm. Opening on October 2 and running through November 1 with seating beginning at 5:15 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 11:30 am on Sundays. Reservations are required and may be done at https://www.thebarniii.com

It’s December 20, 1970. When Elvis disappears without a trace just days before a major televised appearance that could make or break his career, Colonel Tom Parker must scramble to keep the press at bay, his sanity in check, and most importantly - the illusion that everything is fine. Packed with lightning-fast dialogue, outrageous schemes, and a not-so-subtle nod to the rock ’n’ roll hysteria of the 1970s, this show is a crowd-pleasing comedy that’ll have audiences laughing from Graceland to Goodfield.

The Barn III Dinner Theatre is owned by long-time performer, Mary Simon and long-time fan of the Barn, Abby Reel. After a devastating tornado in 2015 and subsequently devastating insurance battle, the Barn III Dinner Theatre was finally rebuilt and the company began performances in 2019 after performing at Five Points Washington's Performing Arts Center for several years. When the new facility opened, it allowed the Barn to finally serve alcohol after the town of Goodfield approved a liquor license after decades of being a dry facility. The Barn III also now hosts private events like weddings, other performances such as recitals, and dance performances in addition to their traditional dinner theatre. With the COVID pandemic forcing changes to the way the Barn does business, they've recently switched over to a plated dinner for their dinner theatre shows after years of offering a buffet. In 2022, their season includes: Weekend Comedy February 4 -27 Live From the Barn, It's the 70s March 10 - April 10, May 5-8 Everybody Loves Opal July 7 - August 14 Run For Your Wife September 29 - October 30 Christmas Past, Present, & Future November 17 - December 31 There will be no shows on November 24, 25 , or December 24, 25 On Thursdays - Saturdays, doors open at 5:30 pm. The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms. Sports teams who call the Civic Center home include the Bradley University Braves men's basketball team and the Peoria Rivermen Hockey team. The Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Peoria Ballet also perform in the theater. And the American Theatre Guild hosts Broadway touring companies through their series in the theatre.

The facility opened in 1982 and thousands of events have taken place here over the last 40 years. The Exhibit Hall D was added in 2007, bringing the overall exhibit space totaling over 100,000 square feet. The Great Hall, the box office and the Peoria Rivermen office was part of that remodel as well.

Bradley University Theatre - Broadway Comes to Bradley IIsat03oct7:30 pm

Event Details

The Bradley University Department of Theatre Arts will present Broadway Comes to Bradley II at the Hartmann Center for the Performing Arts beginning at 7:30 pm. Featuring Broadway performer and Bradley University Theatre Arts Performance alum Morgan Siobhan Green, along with award-winning composer and lyricist Joe Iconis, tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Bradley faculty, staff and senior citizens and $10 for students and are available online at https://www.eventbrite.com

After last year’s triumphant 'Broadway Comes to Bradley', in which Morgan performed alongside Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Michael R. Jackson ('A Strange Loop'), we are thrilled to bring Morgan back again, along with another of her dear friends from the world of Broadway: composer and lyricist Joe Iconis. Morgan was one of Bradley Theatre’s all-time best actors, excelled on BU’s Speech Team, and performed in Broadway’s 'Be More Chill' and in the US National Tour of the smash-hit Broadway musical 'Hadestown'. Joe’s highly acclaimed musical 'Be More Chill' was nominated for numerous Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle awards. This prolific artist has also written the music and lyrics for the musicals 'Broadway Bounty Hunter' and 'Love in Hate Nation', and developed the musicals 'The Untitled Hunter S. Thompson Musical' and 'Punk Rock Girl', among many other projects. Morgan and Joe, along with Bradley’s Theatre Arts and Music students, will also perform.
