Featuring hosts Ryan Lowry and Whitney Jensen with DJ YV, water and soda are available at the bar and attendees may bring their own food and drink or bring in food and drink from the the Rhythm Kitchen.  Poets are asked to share poetry about Juneteenth..  Advanced tickets are $5 for members, $8 for the public and $3 for poets* and are available in advance at https://309tix.com

The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams...
The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams who call the Civic Center home include the  Bradley University Braves men's basketball team and the Peoria Rivermen Hockey team.  The Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Peoria Ballet also perform in the theater.   And the American Theatre Guild hosts Broadway touring companies through their series in the theatre.
The facility opened in 1982 and thousands of events have taken place here over the last 40 years.  The Exhibit Hall D was added in 2007, bringing the overall exhibit space totaling over 100,000 square feet.  The Great Hall, the box office and the Peoria Rivermen office was part of that remodel as well.
