Farmer’s Market Season Returning for 2021

For Farmer’s Market fans, you’re in luck – Farmer’s Market season is returning for 2021.  Whether you’re looking for fresh produce or unique craft items or live entertainment, you’ll find it at one of the several markets in the Peoria area.  You have several markets to choose from each with its own unique mix of vendors, crafts, live entertainment, and other features.  Most open in May or early June and run throughout the summer.  

Peoria Riverfront Market

Peoria Riverfront Market

The Peoria Riverfront Farmers Market opens Saturday, May 22nd and runs through Saturday, September 25 from 8 am – Noon each week.  Located in the 200 Block of Water Street directly across from the Peoria Riverfront Museum) the Peoria area’s largest farmers’ and artists’ market features fresh produce, local meats, eggs, berries, bread, and cheeses.  Everything is locally grown and brought directly from farms and gardens each week.  You’ll also find a one-of-a-kind selection of art including pottery, blown glass, jewelry, wood turned items, candles, soaps, and more all handcrafted by local artists.

Market organizer Sharon Graham estimates that there will be approximately 80 vendors this year. East Peoria Farmers Market Levee District

East Peoria Farmer’s Market in the Levee District

The East Peoria Levee District Farmer’s Market runs Friday, June 4 through Friday, September 24 from 4 – 7 pm each week.  Located in the retail area bounded by West Washington Street, Clock Tower Drive, West Camp Street and Spinder Drive, vendors sell fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants, eggs, poultry, baked goods, and jellies and jams, all produced within the State of Illinois.
