Encore 2019 featuring the Morton Civic Chorus will take place Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm each night and on Sunday at 2 pm at the Hartmann Center Theater on the Bradley University Campus. Under the direction of Denise Adams, all proceeds benefit the Central Illinois Memorial Kidney Fund (CIMKF), supporting kidney dialysis patients in the tri-county area. Sip Savor Smoke will take place at the Trailside Event Center (located at 4416 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria Heights) tonight (Thursday) beginning at 5:30 pm. Brexit, Then and Now will be discussed at Barrack's Cater Inn (located at 1224 W Pioneer Pkwy. in Peoria) tonight (Thursday) beginning at 7 pm. Dr. David Cleeton, chair of the Economics Department and professor of economics and European policy at Illinois State University, will explore the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union and its ramifications on the global economy. The 2019 Gerald M. Brookhart Arts In Education Spring Celebration concludes for the season at the Peoria County Courthouse Plaza on Friday from 11 am - 1:30 pm. Celebrating the talents of over 12,000 students from 100 schools from pre-K -12th grade from seven Central Illinois counties who will perform, exhibit and demonstrate their talents in the fine and applied arts. Peoria Players Theatre's 100th Anniversary Gala will take place at the Waterhouse (located at 316 SW Washington St. in Peoria) on Friday beginning at 5:30 pm. The Centennial Celebration will be combined with the theatre's annual Normie Awards honoring the 2018-2019 season. The 2019 Peoria WingFest will take place at Festival Park on the Peoria RiverFront on Sunday from 11 am - 1 pm (for VIP ticketholders) and from 1 - 5 pm for general admission.
