Nana's Naughty Knickers opens tonight (Thursday) at the Barn iii Dinner Theatre in Goodfield and continues through April 20. What happens when a sweet Grandma is running an illegal lingerie boutique from her apartment, selling hand-made naughty knickers to senior citizens? Now offering a full cash bar, on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm and on Sundays, doors open at 12:30 pm. American Decoy: The Invention continues at the Riverfront Museum through April 28. Featuring iconic decoys by famous American artists, many of whom lived in central Illinois along the Illinois River, including Charles H. Perdew (Henry), Charles Schoenheider Sr. (Peoria) and Robert Elliston (Bureau), it is a nationally significant art exhibition celebrating the uniquely American art form with decoys from the museum's permanent collection. Medical Inventions That Changed the World continues at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Featuring the stories of pioneers in medicine - from the use of radiation to the invention of mass production of penicillin which was invented in the early 1940s at Peoria's Ag Lab plus recent breakthroughs in virtual technologies and simulation - that have saved lives, cured diseases and made life better for billions of people worldwide, this first-of-its-kind exhibition runs through April 28. Bon Appétit will take place at the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette (located at 501 Main St in Peoria) tonight (Thursday) beginning at 6 pm. Featuring MasterChef Season 7 winner, Chef Shaun O'Neale, who will provide a live demonstration as he partners with the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette's Chef Jonathan Scrivner to plan a dinner for you and your guests. The Central Illinois Regional (CIR) FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) will take place at the Bradley Renaissance Coliseum (located at 1600 West Main Street in Peoria) on Friday from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 6 pm. Showcasing robots developed and operated by teams of high school students, seven of the 40 teams are from Peoria, Washington, Tremont, Dunlap and Metamora along with 2 international teams from Turkey and Canada. Also on Saturday from 10 am - noon, the top 6 Illinois State Champion teams and top six teams will compete in a Robot Rumble. Admission for spectators is free. For more information, click HERE

Anne Frank will be presented at the Central Illinois Ballet Theatre (located at 830 W. Main St. in Peoria) at 7 pm on Friday and at 2 pm and 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who has to go into hiding during World War 2 to escape from the Nazis, receives a diary for her birthday, which becomes her closest friend. Together with her family, she hides in the Secret Annex at Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam. Historically accurate scenes of Holocaust-related violence are included in the performance and is not recommended for small children.  Tickets are $15 for adults $10 for children 10 & under and seniors citizens and are available at

The 2019 Interplanetary 5K Race 1 Mile Fitness Walk and Half Mile Kids' Fun Run with check-in taking place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Saturday beginning at 7:30 am. The start and finish will take place at the Gateway Building in downtown Peoria and you'll walk or run through portions of the Central Illinois Community Solar System, the world's most complete large scale model of the solar system. Participants will follow the routes of interplanetary explorers through the Solar System, from the sun past Mercury, Venus and Earth to Mars and back along the Riverfront Trail.  Cost to participate ranges from 10 - $25.  For more information and to register, visit
The Beau Knows 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will take place at the Peoria RiverPlex on Saturday beginning at 9 am. Cost per team is $100 and registration benefitting the organization which provides education and awareness for those family members who are survivors of suicide.  Registration is available at
Enchanted PlayHouse will take place at the Peoria Playhouse Children's Museum (located in Glen Oak Park) on Saturday from 11 am - 3 pm. Channel your inner wizard with wand making, build a castle, pose in the fantasy photo booth, create a crown, enjoy magical storytelling time, make a fantasy luminary and unicorn or dragon slime. Wear a fantasy costume and receive $1 off museum admission (no masks or plastic, metal or wooden weapons). The event is free with museum admission or for members. My Amazing Body: Dynamic Digestion will take place at the Riverfront Museum Illinois River Classroom on Saturday from 1 - 2 pm. Using large displays and interactive models to capture the attention of elementary students, families with all ages of children are welcome.
