The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams who call the Civic Center home include the  Bradley University Braves men's basketball team and the Peoria Rivermen Hockey team.  The Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Peoria Ballet also perform in the theater.   And the American Theatre Guild hosts Broadway touring companies through their series in the theatre.
The facility opened in 1982 and thousands of events have taken place here over the last 40 years.  The Exhibit Hall D was added in 2007, bringing the overall exhibit space totaling over 100,000 square feet.  The Great Hall, the box office and the Peoria Rivermen office was part of that remodel as well.

Servant of Two Masters will be presented by the ICC Theatre program at the Sundial in the outdoor courtyard of the main campus (located at 1 College Dr. in East Peoria) beginning at 7:30 pm.  This classic commedia dell’arte production, filled with mistaken identities, outrageous disguises, and whirlwind antics, follows Truffaldino, a clever but perpetually hungry servant, as he tries to serve two masters at once – with hilarious consequences.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $6.25 for students in advance and are available at the Box Office or online at https://artsaticc.com

The Fine Arts Society will host Working Women: Italian Women Artists from 1500–1800 which will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum (located at 222 NW Water St in Peoria) beginning at 10 am.  Featuring Dr. Eve Straussman-Pflanzer, Curator and Head of Italian and Spanish Paintings, National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., who will trace the avenues for success of women artists in Italy from 1500 until 1800. The Peoria Food and Wine Festival will take place in the Green Space of the Pabst Building (located at 4541 N. Proceeds from this year’s Peoria Food & Wine Festival will benefit the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center to bring access and specialized care to ALL women with complications or who are high risk, during pregnancy and delivery in Central Illinois.  This year’s beneficiary is near and dear to our hearts.  Without maternal fetal and Dr. Michael Leonardi’s exceptional care, we would not have our three healthy children. The Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center in Peoria serves patients across central Illinois, providing specialized care that is not available elsewhere – another reason to Choose Greater Peoria!

Winner of not only the Tony Award for Best Musical, but also the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and based on Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme, Rent is a rock opera that tells the story of 8 friends’ need for connection in a world that has thrown them away. Set in the East Village of NYC at the height of the AIDS Epidemic, this group of artists and musicians experience desperation, loneliness, loss, lust and love all while coping with survival. Together they discover how to fight for liberation when a win doesn’t seem possible. The soundtrack is heavily influenced by rock music, incorporating elements of pop, show tunes and even tango. This blend reflects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the characters and is a critical component of the musical’s impact.
