Wildlife Prairie Park (located at 3826 N. Taylor Road in Hanna City) will host several Easter events Friday through Sunday from 9 am - 4:30 pm.  An Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt will take place throughout the weekend with the winner receiving a private meet and greet with one of the animals.  There will also be daily animal programs plus an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday for various age groups:  the 10 am hunt is for ages up to 4, the  will be for ages up to 4, the 10:10 am hunt will be for ages 5 - 8 and the 10:20 am hunt will be for ages 9 - 12. A special prize basket will be awarded to the child who finds the golden egg during each egg hunt plus get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny at the Train Depot and ride the Zephyr Train opening at 10 am.  Grandma Nana's and the Station Food Trucks will be on hand from 9 am - Noon.  The hunt is free with park admission which is $17 for ages 13 and up, $15 for senior citizens aged 65 and up, $12 for ages 3 - 12 and free for ages 2 and under and Park members. Reservations are required for each hunt and may be made at https://wildlifeprairiepark.org

The Fine Arts Society will host Pattern and Paradox: The Quilts of Amish Women which will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Museum (located at 222 NW Water St in Peoria) beginning at 10 am.  Featuring historian Janneken Smucker will illustrate how Amish quilt-making reveals aspects of Amish women’s relationship to the wider non-Amish world, , distinct design preferences within local communities including Arthur, Illinois, the ways family members passed down quilts and quilt patterns across generations, and the impact of individual taste and creativity within a faith group emphasizing humility and conformity.  Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for students or free for Fine Arts Society members and are available at the door.  For more information, visit fineartssocieyofpeoria.net
