The Annual Lily Show will take place at Luthy Botanical Garden in Glen Oak Park from March 8 – 31 from 10 am – 5 pm with the last entry at 4:30 pm each day. The garden has free admission, however donations are appreciated.
Bunny Photos will be available at Northwoods Mall from March 15 – 30 from 2 – 4:15 pm daily. Packages of photos range in price from $39.99 to $49.99. Reservations are strongly encouraged and may be done at https://www.northwoodsmall.net
The Peoria Zoo will host Hoppin’ Good Time on Saturday, March 23. The Zoo’s annual Easter Egg Scramble features an Easter Egg Hunt for kids. Each age group has their own designated hunt time: 10:30 am for ages 0 – 3, 10:50 am for ages 4 – 7 and 11:10 am for ages 8 – 12. Cost is $3.50 for child members, $9 for child non-members, and $11.50 for adult non-members and are available in advance of the event at the Zoo or online at https://www.peoriazoo.org
The Hopping will take place at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie on Saturday, March 23 from Noon – 4 pm. Featuring face painting, balloon art, caricatures, animals from Wildlife Prairie Park, character appearances plus a scavenger hunt to win one of 12 baskets. The Easter Bunny will be on hand and each child will receive a goodie bag. Admission is free.
The Peoria Jaycees will host their Bunny Hop Easter Scavenger Hunt on the Peoria Riverfront (beginning at 401 Water Street in Peoria) on Saturday, March 23 from 11 am – 2 pm. Follow the clues to hunt for eggs at various local businesses and landmarks along the Riverfront and Warehouse District. Each egg contains a treat and some may even contain a golden ticket that can be redeemed for a prize. Admission is free, however donations are always appreciated. Gospelfest Ministries will present The Music of Easter at Crossroads Global Methodist Church (located at 1420 N. Main St. in Washington) on Sunday, March 24 at 6 pm. The Washington Park District will host a Bunny Breakfast at Five Points Washington (located at 360 N. Wilmor Rd. in Washington) on Saturday, March from 9 – 10:45 am followed by an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 11 am. Featuring a continental style breakfast including donuts, rolls, bagels, juice, milk, coffee, the Easter Egg Hunt will take place at Washington Park in the Rotary Shelter area. Separate age divisions for 0-2, 3-5 and 6 & up. The Easter bunny will be available to take pictures with children. Cost is $5 per person and advanced tickets are available at the Washington Park district office or online at www.washingtonparkdistrict.com
Wildlife Prairie Park will host a Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, March 31. Times are as follows: 12:30 pm for ages up to 3, at 12:40 pm for ages 4 – 7 and at 12:50 pm for ages 8 – 12. A special prize will be awarded to the child who finds the golden egg during each egg hunt and is free with park admission which is $10 for ages 13 and up, $8 for senior citizens aged 65 and up, $6 for ages 3 – 12 and free for ages 2 and under and Park members.
