Spook Hollow When you think of Haunted Houses Peoria, you may think of the longest running haunted attraction in Illinois. Spook Hollow.  For over 40 years, the Marquette Heights Men’s Club has run Spook Hollow, which features 3 “spooks” including the main one (Spook Hollow) plus M.C. Mansion and M.C. Nightmare.   Spook Hollow will be open every Friday and Saturday for the last 3 weekends in October (Oct. 11th & 12th, 18th & 19th and 25th & 26th) with tickets going on sale at the gate beginning at 6:30 pm through 11 pm every night.  Tickets are $30 or $45 for a “Speed Pass”.  Advance tickets are available at http://www.spook-hollow.com   100% of the proceeds from Spook Hollow are a fundraiser for the club and are donated back to Marquette Heights and surrounding communities.

Spider Hill at Three Sisters Park will take place in Chillicothe on every Friday & Saturday beginning on September 27 and running through October.  It includes 2 “haunts”:  Massacre Mansion, Trail of Terror plus new for this year is their Enlightened Souls Paranormal Tours, a unique experience investigating a historical building at Three Sisters Park.  Gates open at 6 pm each night and ticket sales begin at 7 pm and run through 11 pm.  Each of the first 2 attractions are $23 each or a fast pass is $35.  Tickets for the Enlightened Souls Paranormal Tours are $45 and space is limited.   Advanced tickets are available at https://three-sisters-park.com

The Aura Haunted House in the historic Pollak Hospital Building in Bartonville opens on September 27th and will be open every Friday & Saturday through October.  Hours are 7 – 11 pm each night.  There will also be three “black out” dates where you go through the indoor haunt in complete darkness with one glow stick per group on Halloween and November 1 & 2.   The Illinois Asylum for the Incurable Insane was originally operated by the State of Illinois from 1902 until 1973 and during that time, the Pollak Hospital saw hundred of patients pass away from tuberculosis. According to stories and eyewitness accounts, including paranormal investigations, some of the people who passed on, remained behind at the Pollak to walk the hallways.  Tickets are $35 or $50 for a fast pass and are available at https://aurahauntedhouse.com

The Old State Mine Haunted Trail will take place on the haunted asylum grounds of the Peoria State Hospital (located at 4208 W Pfeiffer Rd. in Bartonville) from 8 pm – Midnight. The attraction is an all-outdoor trail based around the legend of an old mining village that was overtaken by an evil entity known as Doom. Journey down through time to unveil the origins of Doom’s evil plan for assimilation. If you are not consumed by the ghostly fire, you will wind through the narrow paths leading through the Doom-infested Mine, then ascend into the haunted village, Old Town. Admission is $15 per person at the gate or in advance online at www.oldstatemine.com

The Blood Moon Manor Haunt will take place at 310 S. Broadway in Forest City from 7 – 11 pm every Friday & Saturday beginning on September 27th and running through October.  Featuring 3 outdoor trails, general admission $20.  Speed Passes are also available for $35 and dead pass which also includes a t-shirt, bracelet and the Reaper’s ride is available on site only for $50.  A simulation coffin “Reaper’s Ride” in a real coffin is an additional $5.  More information and tickets are available at https://www.bloodmoonmanorhaunt.com
