The Tireless Project will hold a collection of unwanted tires for Peoria residents with proof of residency at Jimax (located at 2000 W Clark Street in Peoria) on Saturday from 9 – 11 am, however may end earlier if the trailer reaches its 1,000 tire capacity. If tires are left after the designated hours, a $200 fine for littering will be enforced. There is a limit is 20 tires per customer with the first 10 tires collected at no cost. After 10, there is a $1 charge per tire payable in cash only. Funds will be used for project supplies and neighborhood cleanups). No businesses will be allowed. No tires with rims will be accepted and only passenger and truck tires 17″ or less will be accepted. No oversized tires, including agricultural and commercial, will be accepted.
