The Fine Arts Society of Peoria will present a lecture on the rise of the Vienna Secession: Modern Art, Architecture, and Design, at the Peoria Riverfront Museum (located at 222 SW Washington St in Peoria) with a social time at 9:30 am and the program beginning at 10 am. Christopher Long, Professor of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, will discuss the origins and early history of the Vienna Secession and works by some of its key figures, such as Gustav Klimt.
