A Sock Hop will be held in conjunction with First Friday at the Central Illinois Ballet (located at 830 W Main St. in Peoria) beginning at 7 pm with a beginner East Coast Swing Lesson and social dancing from 7:45 – 11 pm. Held in conjunction with the Peoria Area Linday (PAL) and Swing Organization, enjoy night of swing dancing to music from the sock hop era mixed with swinging jazz. A family friendly event,. kids are welcome. Bring a water bottle and a comfy pair of socks (no street shoes allowed on the dance floor). Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
