The Peoria Park District will host the 2026 Worldwide Day of Play at Glen Oak Park (located at 2218 N Prospect Rd in Peoria) beginning at 9 am. The Peoria Zoo and Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum will offer discounted admission fee of $3 per person with special appearances from Daniel Tiger and Costume Character Super Grover from Sesame Street, the interactive PNC Grow Up Great Mobile Learning Adventure, Touch-a-Truck experiences, live entertainment, inflatables, and a variety of food trucks. The Clyde West Fishing Derby will also be held from 9 am - 2 pm for kids 16 years old and younger and their family. After 2 pm the lagoon will be open to the public and all ages with catfish, large mouth bass, and bluegills available to catch. Fishing rods and bait available for free and no fishing license required for ages 16 and under. Admission is free. For more information, visit
