The Peoria Historical Society will host Hidden Peoria beginning at Murray Place (located 100 Walnut Street in Peoria) on Saturday & Sunday from 11 am - 5 pm each day. This is a new citywide event offering exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours of more than a dozen downtown Peoria buildings with significant architectural, cultural, and historical value. Attendees will travel to and visit locations at their own pace; some tours are guided, but most are self-guided. Tickets are $30 per person and are available by calling 309-674-1921, at the door or online at https://309tix.com
Buildings open to the public include:Converse Marketing, Distillery Labs, 416 Main, GAR Hall, Janssen Law Center, The Mill, Murray Building, Peoria City Hall (no ticket required; this building is free of charge to all), Pop-A-Shot, Creve Coeur Club, Sacred Heart Church, Sealtest Building, University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. Please note that Distillery Labs, Peoria City Hall, and UICOMP will be open Saturday only.
