The Peoria German-American Society will host Swiss-German Springfest at the Avanti's Event Center (located at 3401 Griffin Drive in Pekin) from Noon - 7 pm. German food will be available including the Über Schnitzel sandwich which includes pork schnitzel with sautéed onions and Gouda or Swiss Cheese on a bun. Also being served will be pork schnitzel, bratwurst, frankfurters (hot dogs), German potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage, Bavarian pretzels with obatzda cheese spread. The cash bar will feature a number of German beer selections. Live entertainment will feature Grammy Award nominee, Eddie Korosa, Jr. and his band from 12:30 - 4:30 pm. Terry Bredenberg on the accordion starting at 4:15 pm and the Lindenhof Echos (alphorns) will also perform around 2 pm. A German Car and Motorcycle Cruis’n will begin at Noon.
