The Peoria German-American Society’s annual Maifest will be held at the Lindenhof (located at 7403 N. Radner Road in Peoria) from Noon - 8 pm. Attendees will enjoy authentic German food, beer, wine, and live music in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Adult dinners (including carry outs) will consist of Frikadellan (German meatball) or Bratwurst, mashed potatoes & red cabbage for $16. A special kids meal for ages 10 & under with a hot dog & chips or mashed potatoes will be $5. Dessert will also be available for purchase. Food is served until 5 pm, the bar will be open until 8 pm. Live entertainment will take place throughout the day including Bradley student group Kaboombox, Al’s Pals Polka Band, and the Lindenhof Echoes Alphorns. Admission is free. German merchandise will be available for purchase from the ladies of Damenchor. Enjoy interactive activities including Nagelspielen, a traditional German hammer-and-nail game, as well as a new surprise game, both available from 1 - 5 pm. Children’s games will be held from 2 - 3:30 pm.
