The Peoria German-American Society Harmonie Club will host its Annual Bratfest at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 Hickory Grove Rd. in Dunlap) from Noon - 8 pm. A family-friendly event, it will feature German dinners until 6 pm including pork schnitzel, bratwurst, thuringer, hot dogs, smoked jalapeno cheddar sausage, sauerkraut, red cabbage, German green beans and German potato salad along with German and domestic beer plus soft drinks and a cash bar. Live entertainment will be provided by Eddie Korosa, the Rathskellar Brummers & the Lindenhof Echoes. Activities will a full playground and bounce house, hot rods, sports cars and bike drive-in, a Stein Holding competition, traditional games like pellet gun target shooting and Nagelspielen (German nail game) plus unique German gifts at the Damenchor tent.
