The Peoria German-American Society Harmonie Club will host its Annual Bratfest at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 Hickory Grove Rd. in Dunlap) from Noon - 8 pm. A family-friendly event, it will feature German dinners until 6 pm including bratwurst, pork schnitzel, German potato salad, mashed potatoes, red cabbage, green beans with bacon, along with German and domestic beer plus soft drinks and a cash bar. Live entertainment will be provided by Keith Zweifel, the Rathskellar Brummers & the Lindenhof Echoes. Activities will a full playground and bounce house, hot rods, sports cars and bike drive-in, a Stein Holding competition, traditional games like pellet gun target shooting and Nagelspielen (German nail game) plus unique German gifts at the Damenchor tent.
