Peoria Area World Affairs Council will host Better Angels of our Nature: Medical Mission Trip to Ukraine at the Bradley University Student Center Ballroom (located at 915 Elmwood in Peoria) beginning at 7 pm. Learn from a panel of local medical professionals who have tended to the mental and physical health needs of the people of Ukraine. Organized by Caterpillar retiree and adventurer Mark Rein, this team with two surgeons and a group of mental health specialists recruited by Dr. Steven Hamon of The Antioch Group traveled to Ukraine earlier this year. This panel of participants will discuss the kinds of needs faced by average citizens and soldiers alike, and ways we can help locally.
