The Peoria Area Civic Chorale will present How Can I Keep from Singing? at Five Points Washington (located at 360 N. Wilmor in Washington) on Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm. This uplifting, exciting and powerful program will feature songs about singing and will explore and celebrate the many reasons that we choose to sing. Tickets are $10 for students, $25 for adults and $20 for groups of 10 or more or free for children 12 and under (if purchased through the office directly by calling 309-693-6725), online at www.peoriacivicchorale.org or at the door.
The program will feature new arrangements and all-time favorite works ranging from classics to swing to spirituals and include “The Last Words of David,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “How Can I Keep from Singing?,“ “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square,” “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing” and “Sing, Sing, Sing.” The Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus will sing each night and a Children's Festival Choir will perform on Friday. A cake reception will follow both concerts.
