The Peoria German-American Society will host its Annual Maifest at the Lindenhof (located at 7601 N. Harker Drive in Peoria) on Sunday from Noon – 6 pm. Activities include a Maipole ribbon dance and a wide variety of German entertainment including dancing, singing, alphorns plus Al’s Pals Polka Band, activities for kids, German foods and German wines and Maibock beer plus live entertainment. The Peoria organization that celebrates German culture, food and history, the German-American Central Society was founded in 1928 and operates two venues in the area:  the Lindenhof in north Peoria and Hickory Grove Park in Dunlap.  The group hosts numerous events throughout the year at both venues.
