Contemporary Art Center’s Live at the Five Spot featuring Joe Metzka & Friends will take place at their venue (located at 305 SW Water St. in Peoria) beginning at 6:30 pm.  Advanced online admission is $8 for members, $12 for non-members until 5 pm the day of event or at the door cost is $12 for members or $18 for non-members if capacity hasn’t been reached with advance online sales. Joe Metzka has explored just about every genre of music and has settled in on the blues. His set list may still wander about into Jazz or R&B, but it’s all colored in the deep blue of blues. Joe leads the way down the road to nostalgia like no one else can, laid back and easy, his raspy voice a counter to the crisp licks from his guitar. Joining Joe is Tim Brickner on bass, Rusty Hall on piano and Matt Warren on drums.

Contemporary Art Center

The Contemporary Art Center of Peoria is located on the Peoria riverfront and offers exhibits, live music as well as classes.  Their popular live entertainment includes Live at the Five Spot which takes place on Friday evenings, as well as Peoria’s Open Mic for Poetry, Whisper & Shout, the first Thursday of the month.  The CAC also participates in the First Fridays Studio Tours every month.
