It’s Lit: Lighting Design with Aja M. Jackson will be presented as a part of Corn Stock Theatre's "Outside the Tent" Digital Workshop Series beginning at 6 pm.  Registration is $12 per participant and is appropriate for all ages.   Register at www.cornstocktheatre.coursestorm.com Scholarships are available for students who qualify:  to inquire about scholarships, call 309-676-2196.    

ABOUT AJA M. JACKSON:

Aja is a Boston-based lighting designer working in theater, opera, dance, corporate events, and interdisciplinary immersive performances. Aja is an alumni from the Johnny Carson School of Theater and Film (UNL), she graduated with a BFA in Theatrical Design and BA in Dance Performance, later receiving her MFA in Lighting Design from Boston University.

Aja has designed for companies such as the American Repertory Theatre, The Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival, Yeager Design, New Repertory Theatre, Actors Shakespeare Project, Hibernian Hall, Central Square Theater, Lyric Stage, and the Boston Conservatory Opera.

Aja is Resident Lighting Designer and core collaborator for interdisciplinary, site-specific movement company, Nourishment (www.thisisnourishment.com). Aja is currently on the faculty at the National Theater Institute teaching Lighting Design with Directors and Practical Lighting Design.

She has also worked in production management with companies such as The Santa Fe Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Lyric Stage Company of Boston, and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. IG: @ajamjackson
