The 21st Annual Historic Springdale Cemetery Tours will take place at the Cemetery (located at 3014 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria) at 3 pm & 5 pm. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for for children. Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins always welcomed. To reserve your spot, call 309-696-0956 or email springdalecemeterytours@gmail.com. During the tours, patrons will be guided on a short walk through a section of Springdale Cemetery to visit five different prominent Peorians from the past.This year’s characters will include Joseph Petarde (Peoria's forgotten sculptor), Robert Avery (Local inventor, founder of Avery Tractor and mayor of Averyville), Clarence Comstock (Highly regarded mathematics professor, helped to shape early curriculum standards at Bradley University), Lucia Comstock (Wife of Clarence Comstock was involved in early Peoria theatre) & the Rowdy Rouse Sisters (Their father built Rouse Hall and was one of the first physicians in Peoria).
