Hiplet Ballerinas will perform at the ICC Performing Arts Center on the East Peoria campus as part of ICC’s Guest Artist Series beginning at 7:30 pm. A fusion of classical pointe technique with African, Latin, hip-hop, and urban dance styles that are tooted in communities of color, the group was specifically designed to make ballet accessible to all, by mixing it with current popular songs that will be familiar to audiences who don’t normally attend ballet performances.
