Heartland Festival Orchestra will present Sitar and Symphony at Venue Chisca (located at 1009 Southwest Washington St. in Peoria) beginning at 4 pm. A cross-cultural musical celebration blending Indian classical rhythms with Western orchestral elegance. The program includes Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, Arjun Verma’s fusion piece Bach in Bengal, Garden of Dreams arranged for sitar, tablas, and chamber orchestra, plus a solo Indian classical interlude. Featuring guest artists Arjun Verma (sitar) and William Rossel (tablas), the concert bridges continents and traditions through improvisation and harmony.
