A Peoria County Household Hazardous Waste Disposal event will take place at Expo Gardens (located at 1601 W. Northmoor Road in Peoria) from 8 am - 3 pm. Dispose of hazardous materials such as oil-based paints and solvents, lawn chemicals, used motor oil and antifreeze. The event is open to all Illinois residents, however you must have an appointment to dispose of materials. Registration closes on Friday, October 11 and may be done online at http://www.peoriacounty.org/recycle
