Event Details

Community Children's Theatre will present Big Fish at Peoria Players Theatre (located at 4300 N. University in Peoria) at 7 pm on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, and at 1:30 pm on Saturday & Sunday.   The Sunday matinee will be signed for the deaf and hard of hearing.  Tickets are $15 for general admission seating and $10 for children ages 12 and under as well as a "streampass" for $20 to watch the show online and are on sale now at www.cctpeoria.org Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest and then some.  Edward’s larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.  Big Fish is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier, and bigger than life itself. Audiences will enjoy music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August. “Big Fish” is based on Daniel Wallace’s 1998 novel “Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions” and Tim Burton’s 2003 film written by John August.  Gillian Cramer directs the cast of more than thirty students ages 8 to 18 from Peoria and surrounding areas, Laurel Cramer music directs, and Rachel Kocher choreographs.
