A Dedication will take place at Springdale Cemetery (located at 3014 N Prospect Rd. in Peoria) beginning at at 2 pm just inside the cemetery entrance on Prospect Road. The Peoria County Civil War Monument, “The Shaft,” dates back to 1866. It was lost and forgotten since 1962. The monument has been restored and will be officially dedicated in this ceremony.
