The Bishop Hill 8th Annual Chautauqua will take place at the Bishop Hill Village Park (located at 304 Bishop Hill Rd. in Bishop Hill) from 12:30 pm – 5 pm. Featuring Walt Whitman, Louisa May Alcott, and Laura Ingalls Wilder re-enactors sharing stories and songs, reservations are also required since performances are limited to 50 people. Admission is free. Call 309-927-3899 to reserve your seats for all or any one of the 3 programs. Masks are required for the audience and social distancing is strongly encouraged. You are also encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs.
A live streaming event will also take place the following week with several more performers from across the country. Programs will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, August 25, 26, 27, with performances at 7 and 8 pm. For more information, call 309-927-3899
