Spirit of Peoria
The Spirit of Peoria is a paddleboat and was built in 1988 and operates out of its dock at the base of Main Street in downtown Peoria. Featuring sightseeing cruises, one to five day trips to Starved Rock, Hannibal, and St. Louis. The Spirit also offers private charters and rentals of the boat.
Cruises are 1 and a half hours long and run 2 to 5 days weekly. The boat’s tall fluted stacks and gigantic candy-apple red paddlewheel make for a fun experience. Each cruise includes the Captain’s commentary and concessions also are available.

Entertainers who perform on the Spirit of Peoria include storyteller Brian "Fox" Ellis, singer/songwriter Barry Cloyd, Ken Bradbury, and Bob Anton a.k.a. "Mark Twain.
The Spirit is owned by Alex Grieves and co-captained by Alice Grady and Dylan Masonholder and travels the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.
Ticket prices range from $20 for regular sightseeing cruises to $55 for their Murder Mystery Dinner cruise which includes a Prime Rib dinner (adult prices). Overnight cruise prices vary by location and duration.
