The Peoria Historical Society World’s Most Beautiful Drive Tour will take place departing from the Caterpillar Visitors Center (located at 110 Southwest Washington Street in Peoria) beginning at 11 am. Explore the history and homes along Grandview Drive beginning with a brief look at the oldest part of Grandview Drive and learn about its construction and history. Then continue on the “world’s most beautiful drive,” as President Theodore Roosevelt referred to it in a visit to Peoria in 1910, describing the many historic homes and the former Peorians that lived there.
