Upstage Theatre Company will present Somebody's Getting GREASE'd: Murder at the Reunion at the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Hall (located at 416 Hamilton Blvd. in downtown Peoria) beginning at 6 pm.  Featuring a dinner the show and a cash bar (for evening performances only), tickets are $59 for adults, $39 for ages 4 - 12 and $57 for senior citizens and are available at https://upstagetheatrepeoria.com
The gang is back for their 30 year high school reunion where romances will be rekindled, old friends reunited, and enemies discovered.  Favorite musical numbers will be reprised in this parody, but not before someone ends up permanently GREASED.   There will also be a retro costume contest.

The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams...
The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams who call the Civic Center home include the  Bradley University Braves men's basketball team and the Peoria Rivermen Hockey team.  The Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Peoria Ballet also perform in the theater.   And the American Theatre Guild hosts Broadway touring companies through their series in the theatre.
The facility opened in 1982 and thousands of events have taken place here over the last 40 years.  The Exhibit Hall D was added in 2007, bringing the overall exhibit space totaling over 100,000 square feet.  The Great Hall, the box office and the Peoria Rivermen office was part of that remodel as well.

The Peoria German-American Society will host Swiss-German Springfest at the Avanti's Event Center (located at 3401 Griffin Drive in Pekin) from Noon - 7 pm.  German food will be available including the Über Schnitzel sandwich which includes pork schnitzel with sautéed onions and Gouda or Swiss Cheese on a bun.  Also being served will be pork schnitzel, bratwurst, frankfurters (hot dogs), German potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage, Bavarian pretzels with obatzda cheese spread.  The cash bar will feature a number of German beer selections.  Live entertainment will feature Grammy Award nominee, Eddie Korosa, Jr. and his band from 12:30 - 4:30 pm. Terry Bredenberg on the accordion starting at 4:15 pm and the Lindenhof Echos (alphorns) will also perform around 2 pm. A German Car and Motorcycle Cruis’n will begin at Noon.
