The Peoria Riverfront Museum will host a 25th Anniversary Remembrance of the 9/11 terrorists attacks on the Sun Plaza beginning at 10 am. Honorary chair Peoria Fire Chief Shawn Sollberger will lead the event, along with the museum board, donors, and members, first responders, area students, families, community leaders, veterans, and public officials. Joining officials in the ceremony are Julia and John Chan, parents of Charles “Chip” Chan, the only Peorian who died in the attacks on 9/11. The ceremony is In conjunction with upcoming exhibition "We Remember: Stories from the 9/11 Memorial and Museum which runs through April 11, 2027. Admission to the ceremony is free and tickets for the exhibit are $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and $16 for kids aged 3 - 17 are available at
