The Friends of Rocky Glen will host the Kickapoo Creek Festival at Sommer Farm (located at 6329 N. Koerner Road in Peoria) beginning at 11 am on Friday, and at 9 am on Saturday & Sunday. Featuring interactive outdoor activities for families to enjoy and learn about nature, there will be workshops of wild local medicinal plants, with live local music on Friday 6 pm – 11 pm along with a public bonfire. Camping is available for all 3 nights. Saturday’s activities include over a dozen vendors and workshops offering interactive scientific learning all day with extensive childcare activities. plus a sunset meditation and night sky guided tour. Sunday will feature holistic healing with workshops, vendors, free canoe access, fishing, yoga and other learning opportunities. Childcare will be available. Admission is free.
