Whisper & Shout will take place at the Contemporary Art Center beginning at 8 pm. Featuring hosts Ryan Lowry and Whitney Jensen with DJ YV, water and soda are available at the bar and attendees may bring their own food and drink or bring in food and drink from the the Rhythm Kitchen. In just a decade, Goddess Warrior The Poet (aka Dianna Tyler) has blazed a trail of inspirational domination. Recent highlights include: 2021 Chicago Music Awards “Best Spoken Word Artist of the year”; won the “People’s Choice Award” in the NextShowcase Chicago Competition; 1st spoken word artist in Illinois to write and co-produce her first poetic short film; published a book of poetry and audio album, hostess of The Wordshop Open Mic in Rockford; 1st African American female poet to produce and direct a spoken word stage play inside Rich South High School in Richton Park.

Their popular live entertainment includes Live at the Five Spot which takes place on Friday evenings, as well as Peoria’s Open Mic for Poetry, Whisper & Shout, the first Thursday of the month. The CAC also participates in the First Fridays Studio Tours every month.
