The Peoria German American Society will host its annual Sommerfest at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 Hickory Grove Rd., Dunlap) from Noon - 8 pm. A family-friendly event featuring German food, soccer, German car and bike cruis'n, arts and crafts plus live entertainment by Eddie Korosa and the Boys from Illinois, the Lindenhof Echoes and Al’s Pals Polka Band. German beer and wine and other beverages will be available along with complete dinners available including pork schnitzel, bratwurst, Heidelburgers, hot dogs, German potato salad, sauerkraut, and dessert.  No dogs or outside coolers allowed during the fest.  Social distancing guidelines are encouraged.
