The Peoria German-American Society will host their first-ever Mittalter Frühlingsmarkt German version of a Renaissance fair at Hickory Grove Park (located at 12403 N Hickory Grove Rd. in Dunlap) from 10 am - 8 pm.  Featuring area arts and craft vendors who will be selling a wide variety of seasonal items, there will also be live entertainment.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in period attire including Game of Thrones, Vikings, Robin Hood, William Tell, Merlin, King Arthur, Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Robin Hood, knights, handmaidens, monks, peasants, princesses, lords, huntsmen, witches, sorcerers, fairies, elves, trolls and more. Food being served will include:  bratwurst, pork schnitzel, sauerkraut, German potato salad, Berliner wurst, and Bavarian pretzels.  Soft drinks, beer, and wine will also be available.  Ice Cream specialties will also be available.  Crafters will be open until at least 5 pm.  Food will be served until 6 pm or until it runs out.  COVID-19 guidelines need to be followed.  Only service animals allowed on the property during this event.
