A Raisin in the Sun will be presented by Peoria Players Theatre (located at 4300 N. University St. in Peoria) at 7:30 pm.  Named it the best play of 1959 by the New York Drama Critics' Circle, it follows a black family's experiences in south Chicago, as they attempt to improve their financial circumstances with an insurance payout following the death of the father.   Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth and go on sale Monday, February 24 at the box office, by calling 309-688-4473 or online at www.peoriaplayers.org
