Hello Dolly is a farcical, romantic comedy set at the turn of the 20th century, following Dolly Gallagher Levi, a brash, resourceful matchmaker who travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a wife for the miserly “half‑a‑millionaire” Horace Vandergelder.  The show has become one of the most enduring musical theater hits, with four Broadway revivals and international success and became one of the most iconic Broadway shows of the latter half of the 1960s, and running for 2,844 performances, was the longest-running musical in Broadway history at that time.
