The Knox-Galesburg Symphony will perform A Little Night Music at the Orpheum Theatre (located at 57 S. Kellogg St. in Galesburg) beginning at 7 pm. Tickets start at $31 and are available at https://ci.ovationtix.com
The featured work for the evening will be Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, the symphonic suite inspired by stories from the legendary collection of tales known as One Thousand and One Nights. The program will also include the first movement of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, followed by Antrópolis, written in 2019 by Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz. The concert will be conducted by Galesburg native, Maurice Cohn, who is currently Music Director of the West Virginia Symphony.
