Ignite Peoria will take place in the Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Halls from 9 am - 5 pm.  Featuring hundreds of local makers, musicians, artists, innovators, dancers, and actors, all in one STEAM inspired interactive day of fun and learning plus Midwest Makerfest, Sensory Ignite, and Fashion Ignite, and Globalfest, this one of a kind festival boasts hands-on creation stations booths where attendees can learn about singing, writing, dancing, building, acting, painting, drawing, coding, 3D printing, robotics, and more.  Showcasing theatre, dance, spoken word, literary arts the event includes three live performance stages. The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams...
The Peoria Civic Center is made up of Carver Arena, a 2,000 seat Theater, multiple Exhibit Halls plus a ballroom and meeting rooms.  Sports teams who call the Civic Center home include the  Bradley University Braves men's basketball team and the Peoria Rivermen Hockey team.  The Peoria Symphony Orchestra and Peoria Ballet also perform in the theater.   And the American Theatre Guild hosts Broadway touring companies through their series in the theatre.
The facility opened in 1982 and thousands of events have taken place here over the last 40 years.  The Exhibit Hall D was added in 2007, bringing the overall exhibit space totaling over 100,000 square feet.  The Great Hall, the box office and the Peoria Rivermen office was part of that remodel as well.
