Contemporary Art Center - Whisper and Shout

Whisper & Shout will take place at the Contemporary Art Center beginning at 8 pm. Featuring hosts Ryan Lowry and Whitney Jensen with DJ YV, water and soda are available at the bar and attendees may bring their own food and drink or bring in food and drink from the the Rhythm Kitchen.  Featured Poet: Arrie Lane.  Advanced tickets are $5 for members, $8 for the public and $3 for poets* and are available in advance at https://309tix.com *Purchasing a Poet Ticket is a commitment to share your poetry on stage. If you don't plan to read, then don't purchase a poet level ticket. Arrie Lane is a mother, poet, actress, writer & director, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. In the myriad of slams around the country, Arrie has placed in the top three over the last year. She is currently a finalist in “The Motown Mic: The Spoken Word Competition” by Motown Museum. In September of 2021 on all streaming platforms, she released her first spoken word album, “Organized Chaos Vol. 1”. Arrie believes art breaks down barriers and is one of our greatest tools of healing. To a creative, it is oxygen.
