Bright Star will be presented by Peoria Players Theatre (located at 4300 N. University St. in Peoria) at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale on February 23, 2026 and will be $25 for adults, $20 for patrons 20 and younger and are available at the Peoria Players box office, by calling 309-688-4473 or online at www.peoriaplayers.org

Written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Bright Star is set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, spanning two time periods: the 1920s and the 1940s. The musical tells the story of Alice Murphy, a literary editor, and her journey of self-discovery and healing after a tragic loss.
