A Groundhog Day Celebration will take place at Wildlife Prairie Park beginning at at 6 am. Gertie the Groundhog will make the official prediction of whether or not there will be six more weeks of winter or an early spring. Hanna City Mayor Anthony Fryxell will deliver this news and local musician, Barry Cloyd, will entertain the crowd with music, and teach guests the “Wake Up, Gertie” song. There will also be complimentary pastries, warm beverages, crafts and activities in the Visitor Center. Admission to the park is free from 6 – 8 am on February 2.
