The Peoria World Affairs Council will host General David Petraeus, U.S. Army (Retired) at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Ballroom (located at 21 Blackjack Blvd. in East Peoria) beginning at Noon. Petraeus served as former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency; former Commander of the U.S. Central Command; and former Commander of coalition forces in Afghanistan. He tenure included significant achievements in the global war on terror, the establishment of digital initiatives, and significant investments in the human capital of the CIA and other agencies. He will share his deep insights on the history of conflict and the lessons that may prepare us to face future challenges.
