A Solar Eclipse Viewing Party will take place the Peoria Riverfront Museum’s Sun Plaza from 12: 30 – 2:30 pm. View the partial solar eclipse, where the sun will be about 95% eclipsed by the moon in our area beginning at 12:47 pm with the maximum eclipse locally 2:03 pm. There will be solar telescopes available along with activities related to the sun and moon. Eclipse glasses, which are required to view the eclipse safely, will be on sale at the Museum Store for $4. Admission is free and the Museum’s galleries will be open. Please bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket. Seating will be limited.
