The Peoria Irish Fest will take place at the Peoria Riverfront Friday from 4 – 10:30 pm, Saturday from Noon – 10:30 pm, and Sunday 9 am – 6 pm. Enjoy a variety of musicians from around Peoria, the country, or the world, playing both traditional and more modern Irish music, Irish dancers from a variety of Irish Dance Schools, and learn more about Irish traditions in the Cultural Village. Also featured will be the Ancient Athletic sporting competition featuring the Sheaf Toss, Caber Toss, Stone Put, Hammer Throw, Braemar Stone/Open Stone—heavyweight for distance and lightweight for distance. Live entertainment will include Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Doolin, Onoir, Siomha, Eimear Arkins, The Drowsy Lads, The Kings of Connaught, Connor Mallon/Unearthed, and local artists Barry Cloyd, and the Bogside Zukes. A community mass service will be held on Sunday at 11 am. Admission is $10 for advanced tickets or $15 at the gate, or $25 for a 3-day weekend pass in advance.
